Den Tho Vua Dinh Tien Hoang (temple of King Dinh Tien Hoang), stone pot and joss sticks in front of the temple building. In the reign of king Dinh Tien Hoang (or Dinh Bo Linh, ruled from 968 to 979). Hoa Lu became the new capitol of the greater Viet kingdom. In present days only a very few relicts are left from this periode of the history of vietnam at Hoa Lu. Close to the place of the old royal palaces two temples where build (Den Tho Vua Dinh Tien Hoang and Den Le Dai Hanh) in the 16th century. Both remind of the early kings of vietnam and the first united vietnamese kingdom in nothern vietnam. The temples have been restored in the early 20th century. Hoa Lu is located 12 km northwest to the bigger city Ninh Binh.
