Beschreibung
A November evening view from the Ngozumpa Glacier, the longest glacier in the Nepali Himalayas. Cho Oyu, the world's sixth-highest mountain, dominates the head of this glacial valley. Right of it, on the same ridge, is Tenzing Peak (formerly known as Ngozumpa Kang I) named after Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, the man who conquered Mount Everest together with Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953. Further right is Ngozumpa Kang II and then Hillary Peak. Supraglacial debris and a small part of a tiny pond are in the foreground. Gokyo, Sagarmatha National Park, Three Passes trekking route in the Everest Region. Solukhumbu, Nepal.
