Beschreibung
Glacial landscape of the upper Imja Khola Valley seen from the Nangkartshang Peak (5083m) located above Dingboche, near to the Everest Base Camp trekking route. Peaks located on the valley closing ridge include Cho Polu, Num Ri and Baruntse. Behind that one is the world’s fifth highest mountain: Makalu. Its second peak, known as Makalu II or more often as Kangchungtse, is left of the main summit and it is connected to it by a long ridge lowering to Makalu La, the Makalu Pass, also seen from the viewpoint and on this photo. On the left-hand side, in the valley and before the closing ridge, is Imja Tse – the popular, so called trekking peak, better known as Island Peak. Sagarmatha National Park, Solukhumbu, Everest Region, Nepal. Photo with peak labels.
