People meeting at Notre Dame cathedral in Saigon. Notre Dame cathedral (Nha Tho Duc Ba) in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). The cathedral of Saigon was build by the french in the late 19th century. Building started on the 7th of october 1877 an was completed three years later. For decades the cathedral Notre Dame was the dominating building in the city of Saigon. Today it is surrounded by several higher office buildings, even so Notre Dame was and is still one of the central places and meeting points of Saigon.
