Schloß Paretz bei Ketzin im Havelland wurde ab 1797 von David Gilly für den preußischen König Friedrich Wilhelm III. und seine volkstümliche Gemahlin Luise als Sommersitz und Refugium erbaut. Das schlichte, frühklassizistische Bauwerk verfiel nach 1945. Erst mit dem Ende der DDR konnte es wiederhergestellt und als Museum zugänglich gemacht werden. - Castle Paretz at Ketzin in the Havelland was built for the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm III and his wife Louise of David Gilly in 1797. It was summer residence and refuge for the King and the Queen. The simple early classical building decayed after 1945. It could be restored and made accessible as a museum after the end of the GDR.
